The Karis Retreat House Tagaytay

WELCOME

Our gratitude for taking time to visit "The Karis Retreat House Tagaytay" on Multiply

Tagaytay has been known to be the home of many religious and congregations but recently, it has been experiencing a revival as a place for retreat and reflection. A place to ascend and gain perspective for our individual concerns and journeys.

One of the more recent & intimate sanctuary for reflection and encounter is The Karis Retreat House Tagaytay

THE SECRET PLACE

The Karis Retreat House is our family's retreat apostolate continually born out of an awareness of God's love and graciouness (Karis).

Throughout their lives, the Juan Family had given their time to their local parish and renewal communities out of a sense of responding to a greater love.

A few years ago, they realized that they wanted to express their response of gratitude a step further.

Inspired & responding to God's faithfulness, through the graciousness of our Lady of Guadalupe during Mr. Juan's Quintuple Heart Bypass Operation, the family dedicated this secret and hidden sanctuary of the heart.

The Karis, meaning "Grace" in Greek.

The Karis continues to grow as God's constant invitation for all of us, no matter where we are, to journey to accept and embrace our lives as grace to be received and shared.

  A SACRED SPACE

Our apostolate's mission is to welcome and provide a venue, open to all, wherein a mysterious yet loving dialogue is prepared between the individual (where one is no longer a mere guest) and the Beloved, drawing from the same inspiration, echoed in Deus Caritas Est

"Being Christian is not the result of an ethical choice or a lofty idea, but the encounter with an event, a person, which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction".

Ultimately, we believe to provide a secret and sacred place of an encounter; welcoming and accompanying each retreatant and guest, by the sidelines, in their respective journeys of faith, hope and love.
